Do You Use Music on Hold?

Does your office currently utilize a Music on Hold device? If not here are a few good reason you may want to consider purchasing a Music on Hold device.

The world continues to move at an ever increasing pace and more business is being conducted over the phone. As a result your "telephone image" has become more important than ever. Music on hold system are an often neglected marketing tool but this is changing as clever marketers begin to catch on to the potential of this captive audience.

Did you know...

The average person spends 100 hours per year on hold

93% of the average marketing/advertising budget is spent to entice potential customers to call a business

Without music or messages, 70% of those on-hold will hang up and 30% won't call back

Callers hearing information on hold stay on the line up to 3.5 minutes longer

88% of callers prefer on hold messages versus dead silence or radio

16-20% of callers made a purchasing decision based on information they heard while on-hold.

So what does your on hold image say about your organization?

Silence: How do your customers know they are still connected?

Beeps: Customers know they are connected, but not very informative

Music: Useful for passing the time, but does what you play accurately reflect your business? Does it keep your customer happy?

Radio: Great entertainment, but radio stations are commercial operations and will be advertising other peoples products and services...on your time

Messaging: Gives you the chance to talk to your customers and use this otherwise wasted time to inform and educate a captive audience.
